Bayer Leverkusen stays Unbeaten, Draws Stuttgart 4-4

VfB Stuttgart's Late Heroics Denied by Bayer Leverkusen's Equalizer

Stuttgart's Survival Hopes Dented, Leverkusen Extends Unbeaten Run

In a thrilling Bundesliga encounter, Bayer Leverkusen snatched a dramatic draw against VfB Stuttgart with a last-gasp equalizer, denying the hosts a crucial victory in their fight against relegation.

The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with VfB taking an early lead before Leverkusen fought back to level the score. Stuttgart showed resilience throughout the game, twice restoring their advantage, only to see Leverkusen equalize again. With seconds remaining, Stuttgart appeared set to secure a vital three points, but Leverkusen's Patrik Schick struck in the dying moments to secure a share of the spoils.

The draw extends Leverkusen's unbeaten run to 11 games, but it also leaves Stuttgart in a precarious position, one point above the relegation playoff spot. VfB's coach, Pellegrino Matarazzo, expressed disappointment with the result but praised his team's fighting spirit.

"We showed great character to come back twice, but it's frustrating to concede in the last seconds," said Matarazzo. "We need to stay positive and keep working hard. We have a tough run of games ahead, but we believe we can stay up."

Leverkusen's coach, Gerardo Seoane, acknowledged Stuttgart's quality and praised his team's resilience.

"Stuttgart played very well and made it difficult for us," said Seoane. "But we have shown great spirit this season, and we managed to come back from behind again. We will take this point and continue to fight for our goals."
