Community Park to Host Fireworks Display

Parade to Run South from Prairie Avenue

After a two-year hiatus, the beloved Fourth of July parade and fireworks display will make a grand return to Chicago in 2024. The parade, featuring patriotic floats, marching bands, and community organizations, will take place on Prairie Avenue, running south through the city's vibrant neighborhoods.

The city's skies will once again be illuminated with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. The Community Park at 262 East Palatine Road will serve as the launch site for the dazzling pyrotechnics. The fireworks show promises to be a captivating visual spectacle, providing a breathtaking conclusion to the day's festivities.

In addition to the Fourth of July celebrations, Chicagoans can also enjoy the inaugural NASCAR Chicago event on July 1. The race will commence at 7:30 pm at Soldier Field, offering thrill-seekers an adrenaline-pumping experience. Moreover, the Special Olympics Drive will take place throughout the weekend, showcasing the resilience and determination of athletes with intellectual disabilities.
